Get Ready for a Revolution in Digital Infrastructure
ZB8 Infra is tomorrow’s digital promise – today! Digital Infrastructure designed to enable and enhance data distribution, optimization, automatization and most critically speed. Join the evolution of Digital Democratization via a Connectivity Stack.
We Are Building A Network For The Future
Our mission is to construct core US Internet infrastructure and pave the way for a digital revolution. ZB8 Infra is building a sustainable, high-capacity, diverse, and secure national fiber optic network that will enable the next generation of digital technologies: AI, autonomous and electric vehicles, 5/6G, IoT, sensors, smart grid and more. Our single-network approach with an innovative connectivity stack ensures more secure, faster, and more reliable end-to-end data transport solutions than legacy networks.
Phase 1 Ashburn – Virginia Beach
The Phase 1 network build is in the final planning phase, with construction commencing in the summer of 2024. ZB8 Infra is laying approximately 335 miles of new, high-count fiber across multiple ducts. The route is primarily along federal interstate highways 95 and 64, providing a new and diverse path from existing networks. Strategically linking Virginia Beach cable landing assets, Richmond NAP, and Ashburn data center alley, the network will be RFS Q1 2026.
ZB8 Infra, Formerly 3Red8, Announces Pioneering Digital Infrastructure Evolution, Unveils ITW Sponsorship with Industry Leaders
AUSTIN, Texas – April 23, 2024 – ZB8 Infra, formerly 3Red8, proudly announces its evolution from a fiber optic transport network to a national digital infrastructure solution, marking a new era in data democratization and innovation, prioritizing redundancy and diversity for hyperscalers, data centers, government operators and ISPs seeking secure, direct connections for critical infrastructure and data transport. ZB8 is committed to revolutionizing connectivity and bridging the digital divide to underserved communities through its next-generation digital infrastructure.
The company is building a robust data backbone across America, ensuring speed, security, reliability and high capacity, focusing on incorporating the latest fiber technology. Construction on ZB8’s inaugural strategic route from Ashburn to Virginia Beach will begin in the summer of 2024, with plans for further extension connection to Los Angeles through an innovative figure eight data mesh network for data transport, distribution, development and edge connectivity.
“Our approach is driving a new era of digital infrastructure through middle-mile and last-mile networks, bridging the digital divide and empowering communities with improved connectivity,” said Mark Adams, Chief Development Officer at ZB8 Infra. “ZB8 eliminates route conflicts by providing diverse, direct fiber routes on a single network without overlap, streamlining point-to-point layer one connectivity for hyperscalers, data centers, government operators and ISPs.”
Highlighted features of ZB8 Infra’s offering:
- New diverse route greenfield dig within Federal Interstate Highways
- Future-proof design with multiple ducts and sub-ducts
- Integration of sensor, measurement and AI technologies during construction
- Design and deployment of innovative ILA, Endpoint and Data Center products along the network route
- Partnership with leaders in energy, AI, AV/EV, wireless, Public Infrastructure Network Nodes (PINNs) and
emerging technologies - Multiple expansion points to enable new middle mile, last mile, peering and network connectivity
- Pursuit of data democratization and decarbonization initiative
ZB8’s network is designed based on a connectivity stack of dark fiber, next-generation capacity, location-dense connective points, edge data centers, cable landing stations and spectrum capacity at launch. This stack enables AI, aggregation points, AV/EV, renewable energy-Smart Grid technology, and Test Access Points (TAPS) for rural and underserved communities.
ZB8 is also thrilled to unveil its sponsorship at the International Telecoms Week (ITW) event in National Harbor, Maryland, from May 15 to May 17, alongside several esteemed network partners, including Schneider Electric, Cisco, Panduit and GDT. “We are proud to team up with these leaders who are shaping the future of digital infrastructure and accelerating connectivity across America,” added Adams.
